With more than 30 years of experience spanning architecture, construction and technical leadership, Sean leads the technical strategy behind Phoenix Strategic Land's land promotion activities. Working closely with planning, land and development colleagues, he oversees the technical assessments, infrastructure considerations and due diligence that support sites throughout the promotion process.
From initial site appraisals through to planning applications and delivery strategies, Sean and his team help identify opportunities, manage technical risk and address key challenges such as drainage, utilities, highways, environmental constraints and regulatory requirements. Their work ensures sites are not only suitable for development, but can also support sustainable, well-connected communities for the future.
Sean is particularly passionate about integrating sustainability into the development process from the earliest stages. His work focuses on helping create places that are resilient, energy-efficient and capable of delivering long-term environmental, social and economic benefits.
Since joining Phoenix Sustainable Investments in 2023, Sean has helped strengthen the technical and sustainability expertise that underpins the Group's approach to land promotion and development, ensuring projects are well-positioned to respond to evolving industry standards and future policy requirements.
Beyond his role within the business, Sean serves as Chair of the Eastern Technical Group within the House Builders Federation, working alongside technical leaders from across the industry to share best practice, discuss emerging challenges and help shape future policy and standards.
Before joining Phoenix Sustainable Investments, Sean held senior roles within architectural practices, worked on major commercial construction projects and ran his own architectural business. He also served for more than 14 years in the Royal Air Force, where he developed the disciplined and solutions-focused approach that continues to inform his work today.
Away from work, Sean is Chair of the Heacham Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club and remains committed to supporting former service personnel through mentoring and community initiatives.
